Our fall 2017 digital edition of AgileVox magazine, the premier publication for Agile professionals, is available now. As a benefit of your Scrum Alliance membership, you may access a complimentary digital version of the magazine.
We understand that if you are Certified through Scrum Alliance claiming your membership is a clunky process. I assure you we're working on this and hope to have some changes in place in the coming months. Until then, here is the step-by-step process to claim your membership.
1. Login with your email and password here: http://www.scrumalliance.org/login
2. On the top right hover over “Settings” and click “Certification Dashboard”
3. Once you are on this page, there is a big blue button that says “Claim Membership”, click that
4. Complete the form on this page, please note that you need your password to claim.
5. You will be redirected to the new community and membership site. This is not single sign-on, you login with your email address and current Scrum Alliance password.
If you change your password on the membership site, it will not change on the Certification site and will then be different.
Your Username is your email address, not your username on the Scrum Alliance Certification site.

If we look at the history of the Fortune 500, from 1955 to 2014, according to Mark J. Perry’s article on the American Enterprise Institute, almost 88% of the originally listed companies no longer appear on the roster. What does this type of turnover mean? Often it's attributed to creative destruction and innovation. If an organization is not innovating and delivering creative new products and services, consumers will find those things elsewhere.

I am sure many of you are excited to get into the new community and participate in the blogs, forums, and connect with other Scrum practitioners.
So, how do you claim and activate your Scrum Alliance Community Membership?
Follow these steps:
Visit www.ScrumAlliance.org and login to your account. Remember your password, as this is needed to complete your registration.
Hover over "Settings" on the top right drop down menu and click on "My Membership". You can also activate your membership from the blue button on your Certification Dashboard.
Complete the form to register and claim your Membership on the the new platform.You will be automatically redirected to the new platform.
Note: If you have already claimed your registration once, the system will recognize that and when you click "My Membership" it will take you to the Membership platform.

What if your Certification is expired?
Certifications and Memberships are separating within the Scrum Alliance Organization. What does this mean? Well, you can be a member of Scrum Alliance and not be certified and you can be certified and not be a member of Scrum Alliance. If your membership is expired, then you still receive a free 90-day trial membership to the community.
All those that are certified within Scrum Alliance will continue to receive their first two years of membership complimentary with their course fee. After those 2 years expire, it is up to the member to decide if they wish to renew their membership.
The team has been working hard to produce value for our members and with that we are introducing this new platform. Membership includes new benefits within the community and more to come throughout the year. We hope that our members join us in our mission to Transform the World of Work.

2015 has been a pivotal and action-packed year for Scrum Alliance. Introducing our CEO, recruiting 12 new team members, improving our certifications, conducting important research, and other significant efforts have contributed to our mission of Transforming the World of Work.
We'd like to congratulate our training and coaching community on conducting more than 6,000 courses in 76 countries in 2015, with 100,000 individuals in attendance!
