A huge thank-you to Ken Rubin, CST, who worked with the Scrum Alliance team to produce a webinar and article on the Scrum Framework!
This article provides a visual overview of the Scrum framework, with a primary focus on its practices, including roles, activities, and artifacts. The content and pictures in this overview are from Ken Rubin’s book Essential Scrum: A Practical Guide to the Most Popular Agile Process.
As a Scrum Alliance® certificant or member you have exclusive access to live, interactive webinars hosted by industry experts on a range of topics, as well as a library of webinar replays you can watch anytime.
We work with our own Certified Scrum Trainers, Certified Enterprise Coaches, and other Agile experts to bring these monthly webinars to our community. They cover a range of topics from Scrum Fundamentals to Agile Leadership, and even Collaboration at Scale.

Our fall 2016 edition of AgileVox magazine, the premier publication for Agile professionals, is available now. As a benefit of your Scrum Alliance membership, you may access a complimentary digital version of the magazine.
We understand that if you are Certified through Scrum Alliance claiming your membership is a clunky process. I assure you we're working on this and hope to have some changes in place in the coming months. Until then, here is the step-by-step process to claim your membership.
1. Login with your email and password here: http://www.scrumalliance.org/login
2. On the top right hover over “Settings” and click “Certification Dashboard”
3. Once you are on this page, there is a big blue button that says “Claim Membership”, click that
4. Complete the form on this page, please note that you need your password to claim.
5. You will be redirected to the new community and membership site. This is not single sign-on, you login with your email address and current Scrum Alliance password.
If you change your password on the membership site, it will not change on the Certification site and will then be different.
Your Username is your email address, not your username on the Scrum Alliance Certification site.

As part of our goal to effectively engage our Scrum and Agile Community members, we built this new platform to create a place to grow these conversations. We know that with any site launch, update, or change come new challenges. We know that the process has not been perfect and I assure you that we are listening to everything you say. Please email me personally at email@example.com with any questions, comments, concerns, or general feedback.
I encourage you to help us along the way so that together we can build a harmonious place for Scrum and Agile practitioners to network, learn, communicate, and engage.
If we look at the history of the Fortune 500, from 1955 to 2014, according to Mark J. Perry’s article on the American Enterprise Institute, almost 88% of the originally listed companies no longer appear on the roster. What does this type of turnover mean? Often it's attributed to creative destruction and innovation. If an organization is not innovating and delivering creative new products and services, consumers will find those things elsewhere.
At Scrum Alliance®, our vision is to Transform the World of Work. Our mission is to guide and inspire individuals, leaders, and organizations with practices, principles, and values that create workplaces that are joyful, prosperous, and sustainable.
Over the past few months, we’ve made massive strides in developing products and services to contribute to our vision and mission, to foster innovation and Agile transformations within organizations so that they can remain competitive.
Today, I’d like to congratulate our Membership Services team as led by Liz Crider in launching two new platforms: Community and AgileCareers. The features and environments of these two platforms are designed to facilitate collaboration and to connect Agile practioners and organizations around the world. Not only do these platforms have tools and functionality built-in that our community has been asking for, but they also have a team of passionate individuals supporting them.
If you are attending an upcoming Scrum Alliance Global Gathering, be sure to stop by the Community booth and the AgileCareers Expo to learn more about how these two platforms will accelerate your Agile transformation!
The brand new, more collaborative, feature- and benefit-filled community is here!
Scrum Alliance has made a significant change in our membership and certification model in order to better serve our global community of 450,000 practitioners and further our vision of transforming the world of work.

What if your Certification is expired?
Certifications and Memberships are separating within the Scrum Alliance Organization. What does this mean? Well, you can be a member of Scrum Alliance and not be certified and you can be certified and not be a member of Scrum Alliance. If your membership is expired, then you still receive a free 90-day trial membership to the community.
All those that are certified within Scrum Alliance will continue to receive their first two years of membership complimentary with their course fee. After those 2 years expire, it is up to the member to decide if they wish to renew their membership.
The team has been working hard to produce value for our members and with that we are introducing this new platform. Membership includes new benefits within the community and more to come throughout the year. We hope that our members join us in our mission to Transform the World of Work.

2015 has been a pivotal and action-packed year for Scrum Alliance. Introducing our CEO, recruiting 12 new team members, improving our certifications, conducting important research, and other significant efforts have contributed to our mission of Transforming the World of Work.
We'd like to congratulate our training and coaching community on conducting more than 6,000 courses in 76 countries in 2015, with 100,000 individuals in attendance!
Without our ardent community of 450,000+ practitioners across 180+ countries, these accomplishments would not be possible.
AgileCareers is dedicated to connecting Scrum and Agile organizations with qualified, passionate Agile professionals. We strive to Transform the World of Work by offering a platform that has the resources and technology to help build those professional synergies.
