The initial discussion will examine:

  • Clarifying the role of the Scrum Master – This update of the Scrum Guide increases the clarity of the role by adding some words around what they do and how they do it.
  • The Daily Scrum –  Change the emphasis from the 3 questions and exploring other ways the Daily can be run re-enforces the idea of inspection and adaption rather than status.
  • Continuously Improve – Sprint Backlog includes one high priority improvement for the team each sprint.
  • Time Box is a maximum length – Time box times should be treated as absolute maximum that is not adjusted to suit difficulty/scope
  • Use of Scrum – It’s not just for software development anymore…Scrum can be used in a variety of contexts
